Beaconing is a signalling error condition in case of LAN/wireless.If a failure is occurred, then small packets are transferred, these packets are known as beacons. The beacon frames identify transmitting station, the nearest upstream neighbor which is in active state.this causes generation of an auto reconfiguration,in which the nodes which come under failure domain, they automatically initiate a diagnostic measure and try to bypass the failure.
